The Mitchell County Chamber of Commerce was proud to host a ribbon cutting ceremony this week to celebrate the grand re-opening of Tree House Mountain Realty in downtown Spruce Pine. This marks a significant milestone as it is the second business to open in the downtown area since the devastation of Hurricane Helene.

Surrounded by local leaders, community members, and supporters, Tree House Mountain Realty officially opened its doors with excitement and optimism. Located in the heart of downtown, the realty office adds to the revitalization and growing energy returning to Spruce Pine’s business district.

“This ribbon cutting is more than a celebration of a business’ reopening—it’s a celebration of resilience, growth, and the spirit of our community,” said Patti Jensen, of the Mitchell County Chamber of Commerce. “Each new opening brings us one step closer to a full comeback, and we’re thrilled to welcome Tree House Mountain Realty back to downtown Spruce Pine.”

The Chamber applauds the continued commitment of entrepreneurs and property owners like David and Tricia Niven who believe in the future of downtown. With every ribbon cut, the story of Spruce Pine’s recovery grows stronger.
